A narrow cafe interior in Kalaw, documented in design renders and photographs of the finished rooms with timber floors and orange shelving.
01 / 03
The record for this project pairs design renders with photographs of the completed rooms. The renders set out the furnishing scheme for a long, narrow dining space: a round table with pale blue chairs, a blue-fronted bar counter with timber stools, herringbone timber flooring, open wall shelving on steel rods, and a recessed ceiling coffer with concealed lighting. A second render shows the kitchen, with white cabinets, a marble-patterned worktop and a tiled splashback.

The photographs show the rooms as built. The main space is plastered and painted white, floored in timber strip boards, and fitted with a white service counter and rows of orange floating shelves along both walls. A pass-through window connects it to the rooms beyond.

A second room has a bank of white-framed louvre windows and a large glazed opening at its end, and a back-of-house room is fitted with a pedestal basin, a tiled worktop over an under-counter cupboard, and grey wood-effect flooring.
